This is the cover to my short story collection, Ventriloquism. It will be out in December. All your everybody needs it as a Christmas present, obviously. It's going to be all slipcased and amazing. The cover artist is Rima Staines, who lives a village in England and makes astonishing magic and is basically welcome to do all my covers ever as far as I'm concerned.
I am so proud of the collection--it's my whole body of short work to date, really, and thus a large, large book. Lev Grossman wrote the introduction OMG. On his blog he said: "When this book arrives it will destroy you. It is going to change things. As its herald I will be spared. But you? There is no safe harbor for you." That is how cool this book just might be. Of course, maybe not. When someone that awesome says things like that I tend to hide in a corner.
Anyway!
This is a very large cover as it is a full wraparound piece of art, so I am linking to it rather than putting it here to destroy all your friends list layouts. But you must click, you must.
