It's not Ghost Rider, I swear!

I'm SUPER curious about y'all's reaction to this--do you like it, does it make you want to buy it, is it evocative? Opinion me, O Livejournal!

What is wrong with his hands? The artist needs to learn a few things about perspective.

Are those wings behind his head? Or a glowing blonde wig?

I am, I confess, not enthused.

I mentioned the hands. I was not listened to. I'm trying to see the good in it.

I'm now rather pleased to have the ARC, which has a lovely plain white cover on which the title and your name are large and clearly legible.

Man, i don't even have an ARC.

Psst... your husband left himself logged in on your computer. *)

The good may be that some might not notice it? I dunno. Hands are difficult, but one would think that a cover-quality artist could get them right.

I'm so glad it's not just me! One of the first things I said was dude, wtf is up with those hands? But I'm not an artist and second-guessed myself, even though they're still kind of the first thing I squint at.

No dude, trust your eyes. The hands are fucked.

In the artist's defense, when one takes photo reference of a model, sometimes things come out looking differently than "ideal".

Combined with the angle of the viewer, the hands might be the right size. Perspective IS tricky. I think this artist DID work from reference. Sometimes it's a funny thing.
