  • 09:58 Oh my god I had such ambitions for this morning. Thwarted by not being able to sleep all night due to IT'S FREAKING HOT. #
  • 11:41 @greygirlbeast Nice review! #
  • 11:44 The things I watch while knitting...let me just say Harper's Island is an incredibly stupid attempt at Ten Little Indians style murder mys. #
  • 11:58 Oh my god, igoogle's homepage is so much better than the shitty new Yahoo in every way. Also gmail owns ymail. WTF, yahoo? #
  • 11:58 @yendi Ok, but...killer's plan? Very stupid plan. Irrationally stupid. Why didn't you just, you know...ask her out when you were young? #
  • 11:59 @elizabethgenco I'm working on a tablecloth which will also be the altarcloth for our wedding. #
  • 12:32 Also re: Harper's Island, WTF island logistics? Has own police, jail, spa, newspaper (w/office/archives!) but no regular municipal ferry? #
  • 12:33 We can just barely get one Portland PD guy to sit and stare at the ferry dock. Our newspaper is a lavender flyer. But ferries on the hour. #
  • 14:16 @celtic_maenad Owns in the net sense. Pwnz. #

Best American Fantasy

It is Thursday and that means I have a totally awesome thing to announce!

I will be editing Best American Fantasy 6!

That's two years off, but they got this Diaz guy who won some prize what starts with a P, so, you know, I can wait.

But! This is my first editing gig and I'm really excited. So many of my friends are editors, and while editing a Year's Best is not the same as editing an original anthology,  obviously, I am thrilled to get the chance to get my hand in this side of the writing world. Plus! It means I can go searching for the weird, wonderful stuff I love so much, that doesn't always get attention. I'm so thrilled Jeff Vandermeer, who has been a mentor to me since my very first book, asked me to do this.
