Palimpsest Launch Party

So, we're launching Palimpsest on February 25th, Ash Wednesday. The party is at the Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn. It's going to be something incredible--singing by s00j , burleqsue by a too-be-determined cast, readings by me, rope suspension performance art by passionandsoul.

We're planning like mad little monkeys, and we need your help! We need more performers--especially interested in belly dancers, performance art, burlesque, aerial work, actors to read from the book--anything fascinating and sensual you do. The purpose of the event is to create Palimpsest in minature--if you want to be part of that, there's still room!

We also would like to open this up to visual artists as well, as we did with the Orphan's Tales shows. If you are a painter, jewelry maker, clothier, sculptor, anything portable and visual, contact me! We made almost $2k for charity with the last event, but this time we want to benefit the artists themselves. All auction sales will go right back to you. We'll carry your art all over the country--from New York to Los Angeles and back.

The press release is under the cut. Please pass it to any of your performing arts or visual arts friends. We have a month to make this happen.

If you don't want to perform or display, just come and live in our city for awhile. We promise quite a night.

Note: this is a kink/poly/queer/sex-positive event. It is not appropriate in the slightest for children, if the phrase "sexually-transmitted city" didn't make that fairly clear. Contact me at catherynne@gmail.com or visit our Facebook event page for more information.

In Vino Vericon

I'm off to Vericon! If you missed me at Arisia or just can't get enough of SnarkyPanelCat, that's where I'll be all weekend.

It's a fairly free schedule, so offers of lunch and tea in the Boston area would not go awry.
